Q. Where is Sidecut from?
A. We are from beautiful Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. We travel all over the country as well the USA and abroad sharing information and delivering free ski and snowboard tuning workshops.
Q. Does Sidecut ship worldwide?
A. Yes, in fact we ship predominantly to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Europe and also to South America.
Q. Do you sell other brands of wax?
A. No, we exclusively sell Nanox. Why? We believe it is the simplest system available saving much time and expense. It's extremely fast, has longer wear times than other waxes and is not toxic.
Q. Are your products only for competitive skiers and boarders?
A. No, absolutely not. In the past couple of years we've seen a major paradigm shift in the general populous of skiers and riders tuning their own skis and boards. Many have realized this equates to the most rapid way to improve skills. Also recognizing the huge savings they get by the DIY approach and the increased fun on the mountain makes for an easy decision for any skill level and any level of tuner. Q. What level of experience does someone need to get into tuning their own gear?

Q. How often do I need to tune my skis?
A. High level skiers and boarders tune and wax every day. We suggest at least every other day regardless of the conditions. When done frequently it can be done in as little as 15 minutes so it's well worth the time spent for the increased fun and performance.
Q. How do I know the current base-edge bevel of my skis or snowboard?
A. You can check it with a digital base bevel meter or a true bar both of which are sold on our site. To learn how to check your bevel refer to step 1 of our 4 step video series. Learning how to do this important when trouble shooting your new tune up.
Q. What should my base bevel be set at on my skis or snowboard?
A. This is your own personal preference based on your style, technical ability and your strength. A simple 'no fail' way is to start at 0.5 degrees (understand this may be very 'catchy' for certain people's taste) and then increase to 0.7 degrees (if this still feels too difficult to turn), then go to 1.0 degree. These small increments make a huge difference that even the beginner can feel so be sure to pay close attention to it.
